Ghost‘s papal days now mostly seem to be behind them with the arrival of their latest frontman Cardinal Copia. Sure they are showing their former Papa‘s ‘in state’ to VIPs on tour, but it also seems that the Papa Emeritus lineage has been laid to rest. It’s a bit amusing then that the world of high fashion may have caught on to the look a bit late—or at least that’s how the band see it.
Actress/musician Rihanna showed up at this year’s Met Gala with a papal inspired outfit and the band thanked her in turn for her ‘flattering imitation.’ As absurd as it may seem, it certainly wouldn’t be Rihanna‘s first dip into co-opting metal fashion.
June 01st will see the arrival of Ghost‘s new album “Prequelle” and the band are touring North America now with dates available here.
