An October 19th North American release date has been set for the upcoming “The Big 4: Live From Sofia, Bulgaria” DVD and Blu-ray release. The effort captures Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer and Anthrax‘s performances at the June 22nd, 2010 stop of the “Sonisphere Festival” in Sofia, Bulgaria.
Bonus features include behind the scenes footage from the festival along with a look at the rehearsals for all four featured bands collaborative live cover of Diamond Head‘s “Am I Evil?“. In addition to the above-mentioned formats, a deluxe box set version of the effort is also in the works and will feature five audio CD’s featuring all of the performances, a booklet, a poster, photos and a “Big 4” guitar pick.
