Much to the chagrin of many hopeful attendees, Metallica‘s residency at The Sphere in Las Vegas, NV proved to be one of metal’s hottest tickets of the year. While the thrash metal legends would go on to extend that run well into next year with additional dates, countless fans were left empty-handed. Still, it would appear that those lucky enough to score tickets are in for a treat.
The Sphere presents an all-new frontier for the band’s live show, sporting an immersive array of encompassing screens and accompanying technology to complement their performance in grandiose fashion. That residency, which the group have dubbed ‘Life Burns Faster‘, began tonight, October 01st. It is presently scheduled to continue into March of 2027.
Initial fan-filmed footage from the kickoff date doesn’t appear to disappoint, with Metallica taking full advantage of the technology at hand. You can see some of the initial fan-filmed clips below. As for the residency itself, the following stops remain:
