Decessus vocalist Ignacia Fernández took to the Miss World 2026 pageant this week in Vietnam armed with a vocal performance of her melodic death metal band’s track “The Hollow Descent“. Fernández made headlines last year, when she won the Miss World Chile title after performing a song from her aforementioned band during the semi-finals for that competition.
Ultimately, Fernández‘s latest performance didn’t win the talent competition, with Miss World England’s Grace Richardson getting the nod for her rendition of ‘The Wizard Of Oz‘ staple. “Over The Rainbow“. A final winner for the competition will be unveiled next week, with Fernández stating thus far of her time there:
