Metallic hardcore/powerviolence outfit Escuela Grind have issued a statement online today, June 06th, announcing the last-minute change of a venue for their show at Urban Spree in Berlin, Germany. The group claim that both their vocalist Katerina Economou and drummer Jesse Fuentes were assaulted by the head of security at that venue ahead of their planned show. The alleged assault has led the band to move their concert to Tommyhaus. The group’s statement on the matter read as follows:
“BERLIN! LAST MINUTE VENUE CHANGE!!
Tonight’s show at Ubran Spree has been moved to Tommyhaus due to Katerina & Jess being assaulted by head Security upon arrival. We do not feel it is safe for us, the bands, or our fans to perform at Urban Spree in light of what we and other staff had to experience/witness. VERY thankful for Tommyhaus helping us keep the show alive and we can’t wait to see you there!”
