Nü-metal veterans 40 Below Summer have announced a lineup change. After releasing their first new album (“Untethered“) in over a decade last October, the New Jersey outfit have said goodbye to lead guitarist David Mondragon. He had held that role since 2014. Newly joining the group in turn is Anthony Bordonaro (Redefined, Radio Royalty). In a statement issued overnight via social media, 40 Below Summer said of the change:

“New member announcement We would like you all to welcome @anthonybgtr to the 40 Below family. A few months back @davidthedragon925 told us he could no longer continue on with us due to his extremely busy schedule. The man does alot, and we wish him nothing but the best along with his boys in @e.townconcrete! Our bassist @robi_timeline said i got the guy and boy did he ever! So now we have 2 Anthony‘s in the band! 4/5 Italian baby We’ve been working our asses off in preparation for these upcoming shows so we hope to see you all this summer so you can personally welcome our new guy!”

You catch Bordonaro‘s first shows with the band as follows:

05/16 Manchester, NH – Jewel Music Venue
06/20 Hamden, CT – Space Ballroom
08/14 Joliet, IL – The Forge
08/15 Flint, MI – The Machine Shop (feat. Primer 55)
