Last night, April 03rd, saw seemingly estranged Korn bassist Reginald “Fieldy” Arvizu perform two songs from the aforementioned pioneering nü-metal band — albeit without any of his Korn bandmates. Instead, Fieldy joined Breaking In A Sequence onstage for a handful of tracks during their set last night at the House Of Blues in Anaheim, CA.
Breaking In A Sequence themselves spawned from the ashes of Core 10 — a band that originally featured ex-Korn drummer David Silveria. Fieldy was one of a handful of guests at last night’s show, and ran through Korn‘s “Clown” and “Got The Life” during the set. As an added bonus, he also sat in for a cover of the early (hed)p.e. track “Ground“.
The latter cover was no stretch, as Breaking In A Sequence feature ex-(hed)p.e. drummer Ben “B.C.” Vaught on drums. Adding to the late 90s nostalgia, last night’s set also saw former (hed)p.e. guitarist Wes Geer guest on that cover as well.
Thus far, fan-filmed footage of the set is limited, but various clips of the covers mentioned above have been compiled on Breaking In A Sequence‘s Instagram Story as of press time.
Fieldy stepped down from Korn back in 2021, and has previously spoken of his lack of communication since with the band’s members. Breaking In A Sequence issued their new single “Meant To Be” yesterday, alongside its official music video.
