After initially releasing it exclusively on vinyl, Corrosion Of Conformity‘s new single “Gimmie Some Moore” has newly received its digital release. Guest gang vocals on this song were provided by Ministry‘s Al Jourgensen and Monte Pittman of Madonna, Prong, etc. fame. Vocalist/guitarist Pepper Keenan directed the below video for the track, which was filmed by Mike Holderbeast (Down, etc.).
“Gimme Some Moore” is part of the gold-certified Southern metal band’s upcoming 14-song eleventh studio album “Good God / Baad Man“. An April 03rd release date has been announced for that record through Nuclear Blast, with the opus being released as a double album.
Stanton Moore once again sat in on drums for this record, filling the role previously held by the late Reed Mullin. Vocalist/guitarist Pepper Keenan has revealed this new effort to be conceptual in nature, as he explained:
“Our producer, Warren Riker, kept calling it Dark Side Of The Doom. In my head, it’s a weird love letter to all things rock ‘n’ roll. We used that for the freedom to go in different directions. Each album is its own tiny universe and has its own identity. Good God leans toward the heavier/pissed end of the spectrum. Baad Man is more on the throwdown rock scope. As we went along, it became clear which songs went on which album.”
