Former I Prevail vocalist Brian Burkheiser has announced that his legal dispute with the aforementioned band is now behind him. Last August, Burkheiser spoke of his legal troubles, revealing that issues with I Prevail had kept him from getting his new solo project Scatterbrain up and running properly. This past December, he would go on to launch this cover of Taylor Swift‘s “Look What You Made Me Do“ via that venture.
In a statement posted this morning, February 05, Burkheiser revealed that his legal concerns have been resolved and that he will be unveiling a brand new Scatterbrain track titled “PHASES” next Friday, February 13th.
“I’m grateful to share that I am officially a free, independent artist, and will be releasing my own original music under the name SCATTERBRAIN.
I want to sincerely thank Fearless and Concord Records for their professionalism, respect, and support throughout a very complicated period.
Now that my legal dispute is behind me, I’m ready to share my story.
My first original song, “PHASES“, along with the music video, drops next Friday.
– Brian“
