Converge‘s new song “We Were Never The Same” has just landed on streaming services. The metalcore mavens first began previewing that track live for fans last spring. It is now the second single to be launched from the group’s forthcoming album “Love Is Not Enough“, which after a near decade wait, will arrive on February 13th. Frontman Jacob Bannon said of this song:
“I wrote these words in the parking lot of a funeral home while reflecting on loss. Why do we gather to mourn but not to cherish? It’s an honest question that exposes our collective distractions and shortcomings. Grief brings clarity— We all must do better.”
