“Nothing Is Original” has officially arrived online as the latest single from Las Vegas, NV-based screamo band Roman Candle. That group announced their signing with Sumerian Records this past September and have issued a pair of singles since. A lyric video for this third track is streaming below, with vocalist Piper Ferrari having the following to say about the song:
“‘Nothing Is Original‘ was the first song we wrote for the new record, and it set the emotional temperature for everything that followed. Those early lines—‘holier than thou / holier than me’—opened the door to a kind of raw self-interrogation we hadn’t tapped into before. It became the blueprint for the entire album: messy, honest, and painfully human.”
As Ferrari hinted at above, the group have a new album on the horizon with additional details still pending. For now, you can find them out as direct support to Norma Jean on the latter’s “O’ God, The Aftermath” 20th anniversary celebrations.
