Karnivool‘s long-awaited new studio album “In Verses” has been scheduled for a February 06th release through Cymatic Records/Sony Music. This long-awaited new outing from the Australian alternative metal band will serve as the follow-up to 2013’s “Asymmetry“.
Recording sessions for this effort took place with Forrester Savell. The latest representation of their work on it comes in the form of today’s (September 16th) debut of “Aozora“, a single which draws its name from the Japanese term for ‘blue sky’. Here’s how vocalist Ian Kenny put it:
“The whole theme for that song is escaping, or waiting to escape. Trying to find a way to escape yourself. The idea of finding freedom in the blue. Trying to find freedom amongst the complications of just being human. We’re so weird, you know? Trying to understand that at different times along the road, sometimes you end up with more questions than answers.”
