Progressive death metal outfit Fallujah have paid tribute to the mighty Meshuggah with their latest music video. To that end, the group set out to recreate Meshuggah‘s low-budget video for their 1998 track “New Millennium Cyanide Christ” with the clip for their own song, “The Obsidian Architect“. Meshuggah themselves released a song called “Obsidian” all the way back in 2002.
Fallujah had the following to say about that homage, “We spent our entire budget on Lamborghinis and tattoos for the ‘Labyrinth of Stone‘ music video, so we had to shoot this one ourselves. Best we could do. Enjoy.”
Fallujah‘s latest album “Xenotaph” was released this past June.
