While 3/4th of multi-platinum alternative rockers Jane’s Addiction have found themselves locked in a bitter legal battle with their ex-vocalist Perry Farrell, that hasn’t stopped the majority of the band’s classic era lineup from continuing to work together.

The influential Californian band were only months into the U.S. leg of their reunion tour back in the fall of 2024, when an infamous violent onstage altercation between Farrell and guitarist Dave Navarro led to the group’s implosion.

Before going off the rails, that reunion had yielded a pair of new tracks, marking the first time that celebrated lineup of the band had recorded together in 34 years. Since then, Navarro, bassist Eric Avery and drummer Stephen Perkins have decided to continue on together via an as-yet unannounced new venture, having been spotted in the studio working on new material together since.

A post shared on social media by Navarro overnight found that trio in the studio with producer/engineer Robert Adam Stevenson (Queens Of The Stone Age, Porno For Pyros), who also worked with the band on one of their aforementioned comeback tracks.
