While the July 22nd passing of heavy metal’s beloved Prince Of Darkness Ozzy Osbourne led to a global outpouring of grief and admiration for the beloved heavy metal icon, one individual apparently saw it as an opportunity.

In the wake of Ozzy‘s untimely death from cardiac arrest, the Black Sabbath Bridge site located in his and Black Sabbath‘s stomping grounds of Birmingham, UK became a makeshift memorial. Fans far and wide flocked to the location to honor the heavy metal legend, leaving behind flowers and various other tributes in honor of the heavy metal architect.

Osbourne and his Black Sabbath bandmates had visited the site just weeks ahead of time. The Osbourne family’s funeral procession also made a stop at the site a day prior to Ozzy‘s private funeral service. Sadly however, it’s now been revealed that not everyone who attended the site came to mourn.

Per BBC, a 45-year-old man was arrested and charged with theft on August 02nd, after police were alerted to a report of him him stealing flowers left in tribute to Osbourne at the site. The man in question was identified by police as Parviz Jafari and he is set to appear before the courts on the charge on September 03rd.

As previously reported, city workers have been regularly collecting those flowers, mulching them up so they can be dispersed near Ozzy‘s final resting place on the grounds of his family’s Buckinghamshire estate. As for the various paintings, stuffed toys, letters and more left at Black Sabbath Bridge, those items have been making their way towards Ozzy‘s family.
