Bad Wolves Are Rebuilding Their Lineup With All-New Members, According To Tommy Vext

While somewhat informal, ex-Bad Wolves vocalist Tommy Vext recently gave an update on where he and the aforementioned 3x platinum-certified alternative metal band currently stand last Thursday, August 07th. Rumors have been flying regarding the status of the band since guitarist/vocalist Doc Coyle and bassist/vocalist Kyle Konkiel announced their exit this past April. Vocalist Daniel “DL” Laskiewicz was seemingly the next member of the platinum-certified alternative metal band to exit the fold, taking up a bassist/vocalist role in Falling In Reverse.

During all this lineup turmoil, returning guitarist Chris Cain was announced as a replacement for Coyle in Bad Wolves, while Kevin Creekman, a bassist known for his work with Payton Perish, Tommy Vext and more, was added to the group in place of Konkiel.

Since his own split with the band back in 2021, Vext has had a rather acrimonious relationship with Bad Wolves that involved a very public war of words. Dueling lawsuits emerged, ultimately ended in a settlement, However,  legalities were renewed in 2024, with the band alleging that Vext had breached a non-disparagement clause of said settlement.

Meanwhile, March of this year saw Vext cryptically tease on social media that he was, “Headed to LA next to record 15 songs. About to be a part of the craziest comeback story in the industry’s history.” That catches us up to this latest update from Vext. Speaking on an Instagram via a throwback Thursday Bad Wolves post Vext shared online last week, a fan commented, “Wasn’t fortunate to see Bad Wolves when you were with them :/ are y’all on good terms after everything or not really?”

That comment garnered a direct reply from Vext himself, who offered the following on Bad Wolves‘ current lineup and plans:

“Me and John [Boecklin, Bad Wolves drummer] had dinner in March and hugged it out. Been really close with Chris [Cain] for the last 3 years and we are writing new music together. Personally I want nothing to do with Kyle & Doc doesn’t want to make amends dispute my attempts.

Presently everyone has quit the band including DL and John is reforming with Al knew members again for the third time.”
