Sacramento, CA alternative metal stars Deftones‘ are back for round #2. The acclaimed group have just unleashed a 2nd single from their highly anticipated tenth studio album ‘private music‘. Below you can set your ears on song #8 of the 11 featured on that effort, “milk of the madonna“.
After a lengthy gestation period for that new record, the Sacramento, CA natives launched the promotional cycle for this long-awaited album last month, kicking things off with premiere of the opening track, “my mind is a mountain“.
Recorded across several studio sessions, “private music” finds vocalist/guitarist Chino Moreno reinvigorated in particular, having embraced sobriety after a struggling through a darker period during the pandemic. Fans can expect to hear the whole record in a few weeks time, as an August 22nd release date has been slated.
