Sol Invicto‘s debut EP “Loosely Aware” has been given a new sonic overhaul. This revised instrumental version of that three-track outing newly features lead guitar parts from Xander Raymond Charles (aka XRC.) Sol Invicto unites Deftones guitarist Stephen Carpenter, Cypress Hill percussionist Eric Bobo, and producer/guitarist Richie Londres, with additional drumming from Dan Foord (SikTh) and other participants. The project had previously existed largely as private fan club-oriented musical venture until late last year.
Londres said of this aural renovation:
“This is the music in its true form. It was great to present the project with a vocalist, and it’s something we will revisit again, but my vision for this project was instrumental at its core, and to be able to present this vision with XRC on guitar really lifted it up.”
Londres also had the following to say about the latest member to partake in the Sol Invicto collective, “XRC is an immense talent and so positive to work with; we doubt this will be the last time we work together, the first of many.”
Sol Invicto have some more EPs and a debut album in the works with further details still pending.
