Queens Of The Stone Age‘s new live performance film “Alive In The Catacombs” will have a limited international screening in theaters early next month. That stripped down set was the first-ever live performance to take place in the Catacombs of Paris in Paris, France, and was shot last summer with director Thomas Rames.
Josh Homme, vocalist/guitarist for the gold-certified alternative rockers, previously stated of the project:
“We’re so stripped down because that place is so stripped down, which makes the music so stripped down, which makes the words so stripped down… It would be ridiculous to try to rock there. All those decisions were made by that space. That space dictates everything, it’s in charge. You do what you’re told when you’re in there.”
A June 05th home release has been set for the performance, with the following theaters having signed on to screen the film.
