The Used and Sumerian Comics have partnered up for a new graphic novel dubbed ‘All That I’ve Got‘. That book takes its inspiration from the multi-platinum post-hardcore/emo rock band’s “All That I’ve Got” music video, which was released as the second single from the band’s 2004 sophomore album “In Love And Death“.
Garrett Krebs penned the book, which sports illustration by PJ Kaiowa, coloring by Francesca Carotenuto, and lettering by Micah Myers. A September 10th release date is expected with pre-orders up now through sumeriancomics.com. As for the theme of the graphic novel, the following was offered:
‘At Mended Hearts orphanage, Gage is just another forgotten child with a blank past and a vivid imagination. Haunted by dreams of faceless parents and tormented by bullies, he finds solace in the strange white rabbit that appears outside his window—leading him, one fateful night, to The Used Bookstore. Among the dusty stacks, Gage discovers a mysterious, barbed-wire-bound book with no description and a haunting cover: a weathered oak tree with a heart hanging from a noose. Its pages seem to know him, and when the final chapter is found blank, the line between fiction and reality begins to blur.
Transported into a surreal and decaying world where hearts hang from trees and a forgotten manor hides its secrets, Gage must navigate a dark fairy tale of twisted forests, strange allies, and cryptic truths. As the story unfolds around him, Gage realizes this isn’t just any tale—it’s his. And the ending isn’t written… yet.’
