In addition to fronting the likes of Tool, A Perfect Circle and Puscifer, Maynard James Keenan oversees a a fleet of business ventures. Somehow, during that time he has also managed to earn himself a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. That form of martial arts has remained a passion of his for decades, eventually leading him to co-found the Verde Valley Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu academy in Cottonwood, AZ.
His passion in that field was recently explored in a documentary film he released last December, ‘The Great In Between: An Introduction To Jiu-Jitsu‘. However a passion of his spanning back even further has been comedy. While humor and satire initially was prevalent in Tool, it was ultimately Puscifer that became the vehicle for Keenan‘s comedic endeavors.
As such, Keenan was likely thrilled to take part in the newly released episode of the ‘EnterTheDojoShow‘. That comedic martial arts web series finds Keenan‘s aforementioned academy being invaded by ‘dojo stormed’ by Master Ken, creator of the questionable martial arts technique, ‘Ameri-Do-Te’.
