A Day To Remember‘s bold gambit of surprise releasing their latest album “A Day To Remember’s Big Ole Album Vol. 1” on February 18th exclusively via physical formats has brought them considerable success. With a lack of advance promotion, the platinum-certified pop-punk/metalcore outfit saw modest numbers during the first week of sales, shifting roughly 4,000 copies in the United States through brick and mortar stores, landing them at #27 on the Top Album Sales chart.

However, as Billboard report, the second week of availability accounted for roughly 10,000 copies sold as numbers from mail orders for the effort were accounted for. That surge landed the album at #5 on the Top Album Sales chart, with 8,000 of those copies shifted being on vinyl. With an average retail price of $27.98, that’s a nearly $240,000 gross for the band. As vinyl is often seen as one of the best profit drivers for recorded music in the current age, it’s likely the band are happy with the end result of their gamble.

Those who have moved on to consuming their music digitally will be able to find that record on leading DSPs on March 21st, though a few singles have been released. The group have the following shows booked in support of the record at the moment:
