UK death metallers Vacuous have shared their track “Contraband” from their upcoming Relapse Records debut, “In His Blood“. For this latest song, vocalist Jo Chen drew inspiration from a 2019 tragedy, in which the bodies of 39 Vietnamese nationals were found deceased in the back of a refrigerated semi-trailer in a human trafficking incident. He commented:
“The song ‘Contraband’ is about the thirty-nine Vietnamese migrants who were suffocated in a lorry trying to come over to England. It was such a tragedy, but it was blink and you miss it; news today and gone tomorrow.”
“In His Blood” will be out on February 28th.
