Cave In/Mutoid Man, etc. vocalist/guitarist Stepehen Brodsky‘s deep dive acoustic covers series of early hardcore and related tracks rolls on, with acoustic takes on Snapcase‘s “Windows” and Threadbare‘s “Midas“. Regarding his take on “Windows“, Brodsky offered:
“Singing along to Snapcase is some of the most fun I’ve had at hardcore shows. Very influential on Cave In – we covered ‘Lookingglasself‘ when the band first started.”
As for Threadbare‘s “Midas“, Brodsky added:
“An integral piece of the springboard for my deep dive into hardcore punk. Cave In covered the song ‘Ignition‘ at our 1st show nearly 30(!) years ago.”
Brodsky is set to conclude his residency series at the Myrtle in Providence, RI on February 18th.
