It would seem that Tim Lambesis‘ plans to rebuild As I Lay Dying by the spring were a tad over ambitious. Upon the band dramatically imploding late last year, and no shortage of controversy and allegations emerging since, Lambesis‘ intentions to once again rebuild the metalcore band from the ground up have appear to have been been sidelined for now.
Be it a result of the concerning footage, warring allegations between Tim and his ex-wife, or the band’s roster still being depleted, As I Lay Dying have vacated their slot on this year’s ‘Welcome To Rockville‘ festival. Instead Miss May I have now been added to the bill for that event, which will be held May 15th to 18th in Daytona Beach, FL. A post shared on social media for the festival’s organizers revealed:
“LINEUP UPDATE: @missmayiband is joining your @welcometorockville 2025 Lineup! They will take the stage on Friday, May 16th, here at North America’s Largest Rock Festival! As I Lay Dying will no longer be performing.”
That lineup swap isn’t without a bit of irony, as Miss May I bassist/vocalist Ryan Neff was the first to exit As I Lay Dying‘s lineup last October, with all other members sans Tim eventually following him out.
