Acid Bath‘s much anticipated live reunion will now be hitting four festivals this year. The Louisiana-based sludge metal band shockingly announced their live return this past October, booking their first shows in 28 years.
Of course, given the circumstances and passing of former members of the outfit, that has meant that the lineup was forced to make some changes. While vocalist Dax Riggs, guitarist/vocalist Sammy “Pierre” Duet, and guitarist/vocalist Mike Sanchez are all returning, Duet‘s Goatwhore drummer bandmate Zack Simmons will be sitting behind the kit, and Alex Bergeron (ex-Agents Of Oblivion, etc.) will be taking on the bass duties.
Unfortunately, the recent cancelation of the 2025 ‘Sick New World‘ festival saw the first of the band’s announced reunion shows go up in smoke. However, the group have newly confirmed that they’ll be playing four Danny Wimmer Presents-backed metal and rock festivals this year. Those shows include:
05/08-11 Columbus, OH – Sonic Temple Art + Music Festival
05/15-18 Daytona Beach, FL – Welcome To Rockville
07/18-20 Mansfield, OH – Inkcarceration Music & Tattoo Festival
09/18-21 Louisville, KY – Louder Than Life
