Multi-platinum alternative metal stars Avenged Sevenfold celebrated their 25th anniversary onstage last night (October 25th), during an intimate 1100 capacity show held at The Observatory in Santa Ana, CA. That concert was exclusive to members of the band’s Deathbats club. It found the group focusing on music from their early albums, including their 2001 debut “Sounding The Seventh Trumpet“, and their platinum-certified second and third albums, “Waking The Fallen” and “City Of Evil“.
The setlist ran as follows:
“To End The Rapture”
“Chapter Four”
“Burn It Down”
“Blinded In Chains”
“Remenissions”
“Seize The Day”
“Second Heartbeat”
“Desecrate Through Reverence”
“Unholy Confessions”
“Beast The The Harlot”
“M.I.A.”
Among the various throwback songs performed, it was the “Waking The Fallen” cut “Desecrate Through Reverence” that was the rarest setlist inclusion, having last been played back in 2004. Fan-filmed footage from last night’s proceedings has since surfaced online and can be viewed below.
The group also recently dropped a virtual museum celebrating this first quarter century of their career thus far. You can partake in that experience from the comfort of your own home via popular battle royale shooter ‘Fornite‘.
