As we reach peak spooky season, rising UK nü-gaze outfit Split Chain have released a cover of Type O Negative‘s “I Don’t Wanna Be Me“. The song has been a favorite of Split Chain during their touring commutes. They stated of this rendition, “It’s a different vibe, more punk-y and fast, but we feel it encapsulates our fun side.”
Originally released by Type O Negative in 2003, the song would go on to become the platinum-certified gothic metal band’s most enduring track, comfortably sitting atop their most streamed songs on leading digital service providers.
Split Chain will be opening Silverstein‘s 25th anniversary tour next year which finds Thursday as direct support:
