The unexpected return of Louisiana sludge metallers Acid Bath was revealed today, October 15th, with the group being confirmed for next year’s ‘Sick New World‘ festival on April 12th in Las Vegas, NV. However, given that the influential band hung it up in 1997 and two of their members have since passed (bassist/vocalist Audie Pitre) and keyboardist Tomas Viator), the reunion also posed some questions.
Vocalist Dax Riggs has now offered some clarity about who will be rejoining him onstage for this upcoming reunion. Guitarist/vocalist Sammy “Pierre” Duet (now of Goatwhore) will be back for this reunion, as will guitarist/vocalist Mike Sanchez. A separate video statement issued by Duet confirmed Goatwhore drummer Zack Simmons and bassist Alex Bergeron (ex-Agents Of Oblivion, etc.) will round out the lineup.
