Dogma have released a music video for their over of Madonna‘s 1989 2x multi-platinum hit “Like A Prayer“. This clip follows in the footsteps of the aforementioned pop star’s original music video for the track, which controversially tackled racial injustice and went against religious norms at the time, prompting a ban from the Vatican. Dogma themselves have opted for a more blunt approach, instead engaging in some more direct blasphemy.
Vocalist Lilith stated:
“In the shadows of what’s considered sacred, you find the rawest form of desire. Our rendition of ‘Like a Prayer‘ isn’t just music, it’s an act of release, a call to everyone unafraid to embrace their truth. While some might drop to their knees to pray, there are far more exciting things you can do down there, right? Just like Madonna, we’re here to break the rules, but this time, we’re doing it on our own terms, unleashing the divine within us all.”
