Delaware metalcore band Year Of The Knife have joined the bill for the December 07th date of The Acacia Strain‘s ‘Tune Low Die Slow‘ holiday shows. Those two back to back concerts will take place at Empire Live in Albany, NY on December 06th and 07th, with Year Of The Knife now booked for the closing date. Year Of The Knife made their live return this past weekend at the annual ‘New England Metal & Hardcore Festival‘ in Worcester, MA. It marked the first show since the band’s harrowing 2023 van crash, which left all members injured.
Vocalist Madi Watkins suffered the worst of the injuries in that crash, sustaining serious brain trauma, a broken jaw on both sides, a broken femur, pelvis & ankle, as well as a fractured tibia. She was initially placed in a medically induced coma and would go on to receive numerous surgeries and undergo months of cognitive and physical therapy afterwards to get back on her feet.
