Slipknot Confirm The Identity Of Their New Drummer, Announce North American Tour With Knocked Loose, Orbit Culture & Vended (Updated)

Update: April 30th, 2024 10:59pm:

Original Story:

The dates are in for the North American leg of Slipknot‘s 25th anniversary tour for 2x multi-platinum self-titled 1999 album. That run is dubbed the ‘Here Comes The Pain Tour‘ and will see the masked Iowan metal outfit out touring with Knocked Loose, Orbit Culture and Vended.

Last week found the group kicking off that touring cycle with new masks, jumpsuits and a new drummer. There was much speculation that ex-Sepultura drummer Eloy Casagrande was the latest to take up drums for the outfit, and the band have now dropped their characteristic silence and confirmed it.

A post newly shared on their social media links to all members of the band’s socials, sans the their latest sampler/keyboardist, who fans theorize may be Jeff Karnowski. That post is available here, with a screencap hosted below:

As for this leg of the anniversary tour, the group took the time to reflect back on the effort and the success that it brought them. Guitarist Jim Root commented:

“We loved what we did with the first record but we didn’t even know if there was gonna be anything after that. We just wanted people to hear it. Selling out of records and shows, having successful tours– those are goals for any band. But the dream scenario in some ways, came true for us.”

Percussionist M. Shawn “Clown” Crahan added:

“Every time I’ve walked on stage, it’s never been about how many people have been there because my culture, the maggots, always show up. But as we’ve grown as a band, we have had fewer and fewer of those intimate, personal moments, trading them for massive ones. So we’re gonna make it more personal on the anniversary, but how remains to be seen. Just get ready to have your face kicked in. Because we just do what we do, spread that maggot culture – that disease. And you’ve been infected.”

Pre-sales for the the tour will launch today, April 30th, via at 12:00pm EST / 09:00am PST. The general public will be able to get their hands on those tickets starting this Friday, May 03rd at 10:0am local time.
