Glam metal legends Mötley Crüe have just revealed their first new single since 2019. That track is the multi-platinum band’s first to be released featuring the guitar talents of John 5. The latter musician replaced Mick Mars in the group in 2022, though Mars‘ departure remains the center of a bitter legal dispute.

Mötley Crüe signed with Big Machine Records for this new track, “Dogs Of War“, and future new material to come. Recording sessions for it took place under producer Bob Rock (Metallica, 311), who has worked extensively with Crüe in the past.

Speaking recently with Billboard, the band’s vocalist Vince Neil described this single as being, “like old school meets new school. It’s got that old-school vibe about it, but it’s new music. Nikki came up with it and he sent me the music and I thought it was really cool. So I started singing it and we got in the studio and it turned into the song I think the fans are really gonna like it.”

Neil also mentioned that in addition to several other tracks, the band also recorded a cover of the Beastie Boys classic “(You Gotta) Fight For Your Right (To Party)” for future release. The outfit have previously performed that cover live.
