Mötley Crüe’s First New Music With John 5 To Arrive This Week

New music from multi-platinum glam metal legends Mötley Crüe will arrive this Friday, April 26th. The group are set to premiere the track “Dogs Of War” on that day. It will be their first song to be issued since parting ways with guitarist Mick Mars in 2023. The subject of Mars‘ status in the band remains somewhat up in the air however amid an ongoing ugly legal dispute.

John 5 (ex-Rob Zombie, etc.) was brought on as his replacement and has been involved with the recording sessions for this first new music from the group since 2019. The outfit have aligned themselves with Big Machine Records for this next chapter of their career, commenting:

“We are thrilled to announce the forthcoming release of our new music through Big Machine Records. Scott’s [Borchetta, Big Machine Records CEO/Chairman] been a friend and supporter of the band for a long time, and we loved collaborating on the Nashville Outlaws album in 2014. We’re very happy to know our new music will be in the best of hands with Scott and his exceptional team at Big Machine.”

Big Machine RecordsScott Borchetta added:

Mötley Crüe on Big Machine! Growing up in Southern California, I was in Hollywood when these new sheriffs showed up and took over the city. It was loud. It was powerful. It was game changing. Vince, Nikki, and Tommy, along with new guitarist John 5, have reignited the flame with ferocious new Crüe music. Fans will unite… SHOUT!”

Fans interested in checking out the track — which will apparently not sound like “a powerful cross between country and hip hop” — can pre-save it via
