Thy Art Is Murder Fan To Attend Chicago Show Thanks To The Band Asking Walmart To Give Him The Day Off

Thy Art Is Murder‘s recent online campaign to have one of their fans get a day off from work so that he could attend an upcoming concert of theirs was a success. To catch you up, a Walmart location in Johnsburg, IL recently highlighted an employee of theirs, ‘Christain’, on social media, commending him for his work in the meat and produce department.

Running with the apparent typo of his name, the employee in question has since taken to calling himself ‘Chrstian’ on social media, commenting, “…yes I spelled my name wrong on purpose…. I guess no one will ever know how I spell it 😈”

‘Chrstian’, who sports facial tattoos and piercings, was shown to be wearing a Thy Art Is Murder long sleeve shirt under his Walmart employee vest in the picture shared by his employer. It was that choice of personal attire that made its way back to the aforementioned group.

In light of that, Thy Art Is Murder took to social media over the weekend to ask the multinational retail chain the following on behalf of ‘Chrstian’:

“Yo @walmart let our man Christian have the day off for our Chicago show, free tickets if he wears the Walmart smock.”

In a follow-up video, it has been revealed that Chrstian has indeed been given the day off work, seemingly in light of the attention the band brought to him. In turn, he’ll be taking in the Australian deathcore outfit’s April 20th show at the House Of Blues in Chicago, IL, and yes, he plans to wear his blue vest. He made the announcement in the below video:

Chrstian further commented on social media:

“I never talk infront of a camera but I tried 🤣🤣 In all serious though thank you everyone who took time out of there day to share and like. You guys are amazing, BECAUSE OF YALL GOT THE DAY OFF BABYYY!!! 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻”

“Thank you Thy Art Is Murder for confirming my arrival 🤘🏻🤘🏻so sorry for the awkwardness I’m not used to talking infront of a camera 🤣 I will be there in my vest and I will be in the pit! 😤🤘🏻😤🤘🏻 I hope to see you guys there!!”

Thy Art Is Murder said of their successful plea via Instagram, “Ladies and gentlemen, we got him. See you this weekend Christian! @walmart”

The original Johnsburg, IL Walmart post on ‘Chrstian’ also led to the likes of Asking Alexandria and Oceano reaching out to ‘Chrstian’, who has admitted on social media to be being blown away by all the attention the post has brought him.
