Long-running melodic metalcore outfit Atreyu have newly picked up a pair of gold singles in the United States. The band’s tracks “Becoming The Bull” and “Falling Down“, which served as the first and third singles respectively from their 2007 album “Lead Sails Paper Anchor“, are the latest to earn the band some hardware.
The aforementioned album was itself certified gold in January of 2018. This pair of songs were certified gold by the RIAA on October 10th. Atreyu are presently gearing up for a November 03rd release date of their new EP “A Torch In The Dark“, which will complete a trilogy of releases they have been issuing throughout the year. Those collected works are expected to eventually be offered as a full-length titled “The Beautiful Dark Of Life” in December.
A platinum album/single in the United States represents 1,000,000 units, while gold signifies 500,000 units. Outside of traditional physical/digital sales, the certifications factor in digital streams/downloads with 10 permanent track downloads counting as 1 unit and 1500 on-demand audio/video streams from a particular album also counting as as a unit.
