Year Of The Knife’s Madi Watkins Offers Her Thanks In New Video

Year Of The Knife vocalist Madi Watkins appears alongside her husband and bandmate Brandon in a newly shared video released today, September 09th. In it, she offers her thanks to those who have supported herself and her bandmates through the hellacious ordeal they have endured since being involved in a van accident while on tour in Salt Lake City, UT back in June.

While broken bones, lacerations and more were suffered by her bandmates, Madi was left with the worst of the injuries, which included numerous broken bones, including her pelvis, jaw, femur and more. She also suffered concerning brain trauma in the accident.

Since undergoing numerous surgeries to address her injuries, she remains situated in a Salt Lake City facility where she continues to receive cognitive therapy, speech therapy and physical therapy. Per updates shared by Brandon on social media, she continues to make progress in her recovery with hopes that she will be able to head back home in the not too distant future.

However, given the extent of her injuries and the lengthy recovery time and mobility challenges they present, a recent health update shared by the band’s camp mentioned that the couple’s home will likely need to have various features installed to help with her recovery.

Given the various bills the band and Madi have incurred already due to the accident, a crowdfunding campaign remains up over at GoFundMe.
