Multi-platinum alternative metal band Disturbed were recently honored with the key to the city in the stomping grounds of their hometown of Chicago, IL. More specifically, the band were honored in the Chicago suburb of Tinley Park. Mayor Michael Glotz was in attendance to present the band with the honor, with the group themselves sharing the below photo of the moment.
The band were in town today, August 30th to perform at the Credit Union 1 Amphitheatre, as part of their summer tour with Breaking Benjamin and Jinjer. The following dates remain for that:
09/01 Clarkston, MI – Pine Knob Music Theatre
09/02 Noblesville, IN – Ruoff Music Center
As seen in the below photo shared by the band, the group’s ties to the Credit Union 1 Amphitheatre extend back decades, with the outfit having shot footage for a music video for their platinum single “Down With The Sickness” at the venue (then the Tweeter Center) back in 2001.
What an amazing honor receiving the key to the city in our hometown!
Thank you to the Mayor of Tinley Park, @colleen.sullivan71 and to all of the trustees and board members for this sentimental moment. ??????
