Hear Job For A Cowboy’s First New Single Since 2014

Technical death metal outfit Job For A Cowboy have just launched their first new song in close to a decade, “The Agony Seeping Storm“. The Arizonan group are gearing up to release their long-awaited fifth studio album through Metal Blade Records, with this track serving as the apparent first single from it.

Vocalist Jonny Davy commented:

“‘The Agony Seeping Storm‘ gives a slice of our upcoming concept record. Regarding the video, the band collaborated extensively with director K. Hunter Lumar (Digital Mile), while our bassist, Nick Schendzielos, co-directed. The concept was inspired by a close friend who embarked on a relentless quest for profound enlightenment through the incessant abuse of hallucinogenic drugs.

However, as they delved deeper into their religious-like experimentation they began exhibiting symptoms of bipolar disorder and schizophrenia. They came to believe that they could access an alternate, esoteric reality through hallucinogenic intoxication, where they encountered gnostic and biblical figures and imagery. These songs reflect their thoughts, ideas, and experiences.”

Next week will see the group back onstage for their first show since 2016. To that end, they’ve been booked for the September 08th date of this year’s ‘Blue Ridge Rock Festival‘ in Alton, VA.
