Sweden’s innovative purveyors of metal extremity Meshuggah will ringing in the 25th anniversary of their influential third studio album, 1998’s “Chaosphere“, with a remastered reissue this fall. Atomic Fire will have that sonically enhanced version of the album out on November 10th.
Originally released on November 09th of 1998, “Chaosphere” helped cement the band’s status as a driving force outside of the dominant nĂ¼-metal movement at the time. This re-release finds the record having been remastered by Thomas Eberger and Sofia von Hage at Stockholm Mastering. That pair also oversaw the remastering of the band’s 15th anniversary edition of “obZen” that arrived this past March.
This new re-release will be made available on vinyl, CD and digital formats. You can find pre-orders for it and an accompanying merch capsule over at rebelrep.com/meshuggah (North America) and omerch.com/shop/meshuggah (Europe/UK.)
