Atreyu Premiere “Gone” Video, Announce New EP And Album

Atreyu have announced an August 18th release date through Spinefarm for their new EP, “The Moment You Find Your Flame“. The gold-certified melodic metalcore outfit worked with producer John Feldman (Fever 333, The Used) on this outing, which serves as a follow-up to this past April’s “The Hope Of A Spark” EP.

It’s not the last of the material the band have planned for this year though, as a new album titled “The Beautiful Dark Of Life” is expected in the coming months. That full-length will serve as the final chapter to this ongoing ‘Seasons Of Life’ concept which the group have been exploring as of late. “Gone” has been rolled out as the first single from this new outing, with a lyric video for it having newly been made available.

Guitarist Dan Jacobs described this EP as a representation of the inner harmony among the band, offering:

“We draw strength from each other and give each other the space and support to be the best, most creative person we can be. And together, right now, that makes us the best band we’ve ever been.”

Bassist/vocalist Porter McKnight added:

“‘The Moment You Find Your Flame‘ is the path you’ve set out on to recovery. You’ve followed the glimmer of hope and potential, and the way forward is beginning to reveal itself. But it is still only a little flame. It needs nurturing still.”

Jacobs concluded:

“Everything that we have put out to this point has built up to this moment. Something special is happening with Atreyu right now. We can feel the creativity and collaboration when the five of us get in the studio. We can feel the confidence we all give each other when we stand on stage together. And we can see it in the audience when they’re losing their minds. They’re having as good a time as we are ourselves.”
