In Times New Roman…“, Queens Of The Stone Age‘s first studio album since 2017, has officially opened at #9 on the Billboard 200. The record shifted a healthy 40,000 album-equivalent units amid its first week on the charts—36,000 of which were attributed to album sales.

The record is the band’s fourth album to open in the top ten of the Billboard 200. Its predecessor, “Villains“, opened at #3 on the Billboard 200, moving 73,000 album-equivalent units.

While 2013’s “…Like Clockwork” remains their highest charting album to date, having opened at #1, it is 2002’s “Songs For The Deaf” which currently stands as the alt rock group’s most commercially successful, having gone gold in the United States back in January of 2003.
