Empire State Bastard, the experimental grindcore project formed by Biffy Clyro‘s Simon Neil and Mike Vennart, have launched their new single “Stutter“. Both it and the previously released “Harvest” will appear on the band’s forthcoming debut album “Rivers Of Heresy“, due out September 01st on Roadrunner Records.
Acclaimed drummer Dave Lombardo (Mr. Bungle, ex-Slayer, etc.) handles the percussion duties in the band, while bassist Naomi Macleod (Bitch Falcon) appears in the band’s live configuration.
In other news, the group have announced what currently stands as their U.S. live club show debut. The outfit are set to open for Chat Pile during a September 20th show at Le Poisson Rouge in New York, NY. The band will also be performing at this year’s ‘Riot Fest‘ in Chicago, IL, which will be held September 15th-17th.
