The ever-evolving asymmetric multiplayer survival horror video game ‘Dead By Daylight‘ has announced a new foray into heavy metal crossovers. Over the years the game has collaborated with numerous horror film and video game franchises, enlisting voice work from several members of the metal community in the process. Among those to participate already are Entheos‘ Chaney Crabb, Black Crown Initiate‘s James Dorton and Sicksense/ex-The Agonist vocalist Vicky Psarakis, among others.
As part of a 7th anniversary celebration held this week, it was revealed that British heavy metal legends Iron Maiden and masked alternative metal phenoms Slipknot have both been tapped for officially licensed crossovers. As it currently stands, imagery and the like from the bands will be limited to in-game cosmetic use only. Iron Maiden‘s Eddie will appear on avatar items, while the members of Slipknot‘s masks will be available to wear in game as well. Exact release details are pending.
