In the wake of the ugly backstage brawl that occurred earlier this week, platinum-certified nü-metal band  Crazy Town have been ejected from the ongoing ‘Nu Metal Madness Tour 2‘. Following the April 23rd stop of that show, Crazy Town‘s co-vocalists Shifty Shellshock and Bobby Reeves were caught on film engaging in several fist fights and verbal altercations.

The confrontation appeared to stem from the guarantee for playing the band’s aforementioned  show at the Boathouse Waterway Bar & Grill in Myrtle Beach, SC. The incident notably occurred after Shellshock showed up late to the band’s set, leaving Reeves to struggle fronting it himself. Shellshock‘s absence was the latest in a string of in a string of erratic behavior.

Amid this past Sunday’s altercation, several racial slurs were also thrown about, while threats were made against family members amid the bloody scuffle. Footage of the fight wound up online and can be viewed here. Reeves himself commented on social media earlier today (April 25th) that he and Shellshock have since mended fences.

However, in light of the altercation, the band have been removed from the ‘Nu Metal Madness Tour 2‘. (hed)p.e. are headlining that run, which also features Adema and Tantric. In the below video, (hed)p.e. vocalist Jared Gomes commented on Crazy Town‘s dismissal from the trek, offering:

(hed)p.e. had to kick Crazy Town off the tour. We’re not saints by any means and (hed)p.e. has done some crazy shit, and I’m not passing judgment on Crazy Town, or Seth [Binzer, aka Shifty Shellshock] or anything like that. But whatever has gone on with us we’ve always tried to come with a good rock show.

Because of what’s going on with Seth and Crazy Town right now, Seth needs help. We can’t just sit by while he’s on the road battling demons to the death. He needs to get off the road and deal with that shit. So, you’ve seen the video. If it was just a fist fight between band members, maybe I could be the first one to kinda of mediate or some shit like that.

But this is a lot deeper than that. It’s a lot messier, so it’s definitely sad for us you know. Because I consider Seth a homie, but [we] just couldn’t keep it going. And (hed)p.e. doesn’t support the shit that’s gone on and the shit that’s been done or been said by Crazy Town.”

Shifty Shellshock/Seth Binzer has of course had a long publicized history with addiction, appearing on ‘Celebrity Rehab‘ at one point to get a handle on his struggles.
