Canadian alternative metal outfit Spiritbox have now officially announced that they have withdrawn from their recently revealed U.S. run this summer with Falling In Reverse, Ice Nine Kills and more. The group’s decision to pull out of the tour follows a wave of public uproar that has been directed at several of opening bands announced for that trek.
Spiritbox‘s departure from the bill was seemingly foreshadowed by the band deleting all mention of their involvement with the tour on their social media late last week. Per the various comments made on social media, a faction of fans were vehemently opposed to the prospect of Ice Nine Kills, Underoath and Spiritbox touring with Falling In Reverse.
In particular, the issue seemed to be with that band’s controversial vocalist Ronnie Radke, given his past allegedly problematic behavior. Crown The Empire‘s involvement in the tour also proved controversial, despite the band recently denying the abuse allegations made against their guitarist/vocalist Brandon Hoover.
Spiritbox perhaps got the worst of the ire on social media, as some fans felt the band and their vocalist Courtney LaPlante‘s public stances on accountability and consent were compromised in agreeing to tour with the aforementioned two artists. In a brief statement issued today, March 13th, Spiritbox stated:
We have withdrawn from the 6 shows we were scheduled to perform on the Popular Monstour.

Spiritbox were slated to appear on the run from July 22nd through to July 30th.
