Liquid Death and their metal-friendly line of canned water beverages are branching out into the world of iced tea. They’ve paired that rollout a very metal ad, which features several ‘grandmothers’ indulging in the delights of playing death metal and various other shenanigans.
It’s an update on an old ‘Monty Python‘ sketch, but not without a modern homage. Two particular segments will seem entirely familiar to ‘Jackass‘ fans. That’s no coincidence, as the ad was directed by Jeff Tremaine of ‘Jackass‘ fame.
As for the song itself, it’s an original creation dubbed “Go Out Of Business“. Back in 2020 Liquid Death enlisted the services of Gruesome drummer Gus Rios to turn the hateful comments found on the brand’s social media into song. “Go Out Of Business” was one of those tracks and was released on the resulting compilation album, “Greatest Hates“.
