Xer0 Of Static-X

Static-X’s Xer0 Has Received A Cybernetic Overhaul For The Band’s Impending Tour

0

Xer0, the living tribute of sorts to late Static-X frontman Wayne Static, has received an overhauled new look for the band’s upcoming round of touring. It has long been established that Edsel Dope is the man behind that mask and, he will once again front the band across their impending touring this month and beyond.

This overhauled version of Xer0 incorporates an electronic aesthetic and was created with the aid of costume/prop maker Eddie Yang (‘Avatar‘, ‘Iron Man‘). Yang said of his involvement:

“I have always been a metal fan and have listened to Static-X since their first release Wisconsin Death Trip. I am honored to contribute to Wayne‘s legacy and to work with the band on their incredible vision for evolving Static-X and Xer0 into something that is truly unique. This project finally combined my passion for character design and metal music into one big check-off the bucket list!”

Xer0 added:

Eddie is a genius. We wanted to evolve the Xer0 character into a more cybernetic/robotic figure for the Rise Of The Machine Tour and Eddie absolutely fucking killed it!!!!!!!”

Static-X bassist/vocalist Tony Campos added, “Eddie took the mask to a level that we never imagined possible, and we are so stoked with the result.”

Static-X will begin their new headlining run tomorrow (February 25th) in support of their gold-certified 2001 sophomore album “Machine“. Fear Factory, Dope & Society 1 will also be performing throughout that run, dates for which are listed below.

Outside of that, the platinum-certified evil disco outfit are also preparing to release ‘Project Regeneration: Vol. 2‘: their final volume of new recordings built around the recordings left behind by Wayne Static. That record is headed for November 03rd release date.
