Close to a month remains between now and the March 24th release date of August Burns Red‘s tenth studio album “Death Below“. In their latest attempt to ease that wait, the group have newly shared the song “Reckoning” from that effort.
This new song finds the Lancaster, PA-based metalcore outfit joined by Spencer Chamberlain, vocalist of gold-certified metalcore veterans Underoath. In addition to Chamberlain that album will also see guest spots from ERRA vocalist J.T. Cavey, All That Remains guitarist Jason Richardson and Killswitch Engage vocalist Jesse Leach. The latter appears on the previously released track, “Ancestry“.
Speaking of this latest single, the band’s lead guitarist JB Brubaker offered:
“‘Reckoning‘ is an eight-minute journey that concludes our new album, Death Below. It was one of the last songs we wrote for the album and is taken over the top by the haunting guest vocal appearance by our friend Spencer Chamberlain from Underoath. We don’t typically like to share the album closer before our records come out but we’re just so pumped on this track and had to make an exception this time.”
August Burns Red are out on a headlining run in support of the album at the moment with The Devil Wears Prada and Bleed From Within as support.
