Several years back, Michigan nü-metal/alternative metal outfit Taproot raided their vaults to release “Besides“. That set boasted a staggering 130 tracks consisting of various outakes, b-sides and demos recorded throughout their career. Having long since been out of print, the group have now announced an upcoming remastered compilation of those tracks titled “Best Of Besides“. That effort will emerge on CD on April 30th, with a deluxe 2xLP vinyl pressing to follow on September 30th.

“In 2017, as a gift (see what we did there) to our fans, Taproot self-released ‘BESIDES‘ – an ambitious limited edition, 8-disc box set, put together by Jarrod, featuring over 130 tracks – basically every single demo we had ever recorded, through various eras of the band. At present, the outfit are set to return to the stage for this year’s ‘Blue Ridge Rock Festival‘ in Alton, VA. That event will take place September 07th-10th and currently stands as the band’s first live performance since 2017. A new Taproot studio album is also in the works, having been spearheaded by frontman Stephen Richards.
